In February 2020, The Grauniad reviewed a production of Hecate – a play based on Macbeth and written in Noongar, a Native Australian language. In this version, the character Hecate is "brought to the forefront".
According to this review, Hecate is "a minor character usually omitted from performances of [Macbeth]".
